Welcome to Public Art Workz (PAWZ).
In 2003 Founder, Charles Miller (Chazz), decided to make a postive impact on the way people think by creating an educational environment filled with quality Public Art in which people of all ages and abilities are encouraged to develop their full creative potential through the Visual and Performing Arts. This environment became the home of Public Art Workz, which is also known as the Artist Village of Detroit. PAWZ, in itself, is a non-profit organization whose main mission is creating a world class outdoor gallery using Murals as the backdrop for positive change & thinking. We primarily use Mural Paintings to spark human creativity and thought. Murals not only help the residents of a neighborhood develop their artistic skills, but also inspires and empowers them to beautify and respect their community.
At PAWZ, we offer a set of dynamic, unique, and constantly evolving educational programs for aspiring artists with a focus on Public Arts and Entrepreneurship. These programs are led by master instructors who encourage open-minded and artistic environments, in which even most walk-in students are accepted and appreciated for their talent and involvement.
